-
- That ISN`T un-validated - but it does mean it is having problems for 1 reason
- or another. AFS can`t guard against EVERY possible disk-structure corruption,
- although it does a pretty good job (better than FFS usually).
-
-
- Have you phoned Support? Do so, and ask about DiskValid - this may be able to
- correct it. DiskSalv 3 ISN`T designed for AFS *fully* YET - is being worked
- on. As is Reorg.

-
- Join the AFS mailing list! It's very helpful & informative :) .
- To me sounds like something on your system doesn`t like AFS, and is doing it's
- damnedest to zap AFS...

-
- I have used AFS very well for a while now - it's been very stable for most
- people. AFS v2.4 & v3.0 will be even better, and will be better at noticing
- that disk caches have been corrupted.

-
- Eeek! I hope that your VM is not used by AFS ;) - that could cause big
- problems....
-
-
- You *did* have a backup of your Hd didn`t you? Whatever filesystem you use,
- you should always have a backup; even the AFS manual says this!
-
- I have about 270Mb of used Hd, and have a floppy backup - although it is
- *really* annoying to do a full backup every so often (6 months or longer if I
- can:). Currently I await the Internal SCSI Zip - should be almost Heaven!
