  21. That ISN`T un-validated - but it does mean it is having problems for 1 reason 
  22. or another.  AFS can`t guard against EVERY possible disk-structure corruption, 
  23. although it does a pretty good job (better than FFS usually).

  26. Have you phoned Support?  Do so, and ask about DiskValid - this may be able to 
  27. correct it.  DiskSalv 3 ISN`T designed for AFS *fully* YET - is being worked 
  28. on.  As is Reorg.

  34. Join the AFS mailing list!  It's very helpful & informative :) .
  35. To me sounds like something on your system doesn`t like AFS, and is doing it's 
  36. damnedest to zap AFS...

  42. I have used AFS very well for a while now - it's been very stable for most 
  43. people.  AFS v2.4 & v3.0 will be even better, and will be better at noticing 
  44. that disk caches have been corrupted.

  52. Eeek!  I hope that your VM is not used by AFS ;)  -  that could cause big 
  53. problems....

  56. You *did* have a backup of your Hd didn`t you?  Whatever filesystem you use, 
  57. you should always have a backup; even the AFS manual says this!

  59. I have about 270Mb of used Hd, and have a floppy backup - although it is 
  60. *really* annoying to do a full backup every so often (6 months or longer if I 
  61. can:).  Currently I await the Internal SCSI Zip - should be almost Heaven!
